How We Drive Value for Downstream Customers

HFW is a turnkey manufacturing services provider, and we have a track record of developing long-term relationships with our customers. Our manufacturing engineering department consults with your team to design custom solutions.

In one case, we developed a proprietary coating system for our customer. A chemical processing company came to HFW with rolls failing every two months. Standard thermal spray coating stretched that to roughly six months. Then, working directly with the customer's metallurgist, HFW developed HFW 512, a proprietary nickel-based alloy applied via HVOF, built for corrosion with some wear.

Result: roll lifespan went from two months to 5 to 6 years in service, a result now backed by more than 40 years of documented performance data.
