The Position
What you will do.
You will set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers alongside CNC horizontal boring mills to produce and recondition precision components. You will read blueprints, select tooling, hold tight tolerances, and own the quality of what comes off your machine.
- ›Set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC horizontal boring mills for precision material removal, drilling, and contouring operations
- › Interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T callouts to determine feeds, speeds, fixturing, and tooling
- › Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges to verify dimensions throughout the process
- › Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and make program offsets or setup adjustments to correct them
- › Collaborate with engineers and machinists on fixturing challenges and process improvements
- › Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

What we are looking for.
- ›7-10 years of CNC milling experience in a precision job shop, OEM, or industrial repair environment
- › Demonstrated ability to set up, not just run, from print to first article
- ›Experience with milling machines, including CNC horizontal boring mills, is preferred
- › Proficiency reading engineering drawings including GD&T
- › Experience with precision measurement and inspection instruments
- › CAM software familiarity (Mastercam, Esprit, or similar) is a plus
- › Background in power generation, chemical processing, oil and gas, mining, or similar industries is a strong advantage
