HFW Industries has been applying HVOF tungsten carbide coatings to combat wear and abrasion issues on industrial equipment for over 30 years. Tungsten carbide coatings resist wear and abrasion at temperatures less than 1000 F. Nickel and chrome additions may be added for some corrosion resistance.

The most common tungsten carbide coatings are:

1) Tungsten carbide/cobalt
2) Tungsten carbide/cobalt/chrome
3) Tungsten carbide/nickel

HVOF tungsten carbide coatings are generally 60-65 Rc hardness and porosity is typically less than 1%.
