DOING THE RIGHT THING

Our secret sauce for 78 years in business: doing right by our employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

I am proud to work for HFW.

Earlier this week, a customer told me that they were surprised to receive a revised quote from HFW that was less than the original. The scope of the job had slightly decreased, so we reduced the price.

I hadn’t thought anything of it: this is just how we operate at HFW. 

This isn’t the first time I have heard comments like this, though. HFW has a well-defined reputation of doing right by our employees, our vendors and our customers. This reputation is built through an intense, decades-long focus on doing things the right way.

I can’t tell you how many times I have seen HFW leave money on the table. I’ve seen so many favors done for customers, in some cases helping to keep their operations up and running. We believe in true partnerships, and that is something money can’t buy. 

Short term, we know doing the right thing may cost us some margin. Long term, we know that you can’t pay for integrity. This is what has defined our business for 78 years.
